A weight program that works!

highly readable, was the first committed to the Adorno fixJay's modest book touches on the primary categories, the Negative Dialectics, dealing within the Hegelian edifice,if in fact philosophy is still thinkable, that it in fact still remains because it has yet to be realized.
Adorno's thinking on music was in fact very unique with a full scope of other disciplines brought into the welter of analysis. It was never done,at least not with the level of vigour Adorno had brought to the endeavor of thinking of music from a context of the social and political. This is a chasm still not closed. Adorno musically had emphasized the cultural importance with a placement on the dodecaphonic means, the 12 Tone school of Schoenberg, Berg, and Webern, all of which Adorno had known during his lifetime. He had studied composition with Alban Berg.Jay metaphorically connects this to Adorno's "atonal" way of thinking of philosophy.
There is not much on "Aesthetic Theory",largely it was only available in German at the time of Jay's highly readable book.

A truly magnificent manuscript on the African wild!

Superlative New EditionAgribusiness Management has great examples, discussion questions and case studies. This new edition is broken into six parts: Part I looks at the scope, functions and tasks of agribusiness management with current numbers and examples. Part II addresses business organization and international agriculture. Part III involves a detailed discussion on marketing management - a section that could greatly benefit countless professionals. Part IV is financial management for agribusiness. Part V examines operations and logistics. Part VI is human resource management for agribusiness.
The authors provide a fresh look at the food and agribusiness industries as they are today with solid fundamentals for the professional facing these challenges in the future. Even in the preface, the authors point out that this book was written for students, for managers and for instructors. It is obvious they had these goals in mind when developing the text.
Despite the stoic looking cover, Agribusiness Management is fresh, current and inspiring. I have read it from cover to cover and regularly use it or refer to it in my work.

An Informative And Entertaining Look At Alcatraz PrisonThe book contains a very thorough essay by Jay Stuller in which he describes the history of the prison, many of the famous inmates that were housed there, and many famous incidents involving riots, muders, suicides, and escape attempts. You'll learn all about inmates like Al "Scarface" Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelly, and "The Birdman" Robert Stroud. While the essay is quite informative, this book's real strength is in all the pictures that it contains. Ever page has black and white pictures depicting prison life on Alcatraz. By looking at these pictures you'll get a very good idea about the prison cells, watch towers, officers' living quarters, and the kinds of activities the prisoners engaged in to pass the time.
This is an excellent reference book for information about Alcatraz. It contains just about all the information that you would get if you actually took a tour of the prison (which I've done several times). It's also a fun and interesting book to read.

A good purchase for beginners through to enthusiasts

A beautiful tribute to all women everywhereHe is considered a leading expert on early French history; most notably, along the Gulf Coast of the United States. (Old Mobile: Fort Louis De LA Louisiane, 1702-1711 (Library of Alabama Classics)
In his latest book, Alma, Higginbotham shows extraordinary empathy for the every day struggles of women. He deftly escorts the reader deep inside the psychic of an ordinary woman, Alma, who comes to terms with her destiny, and, in the process, gains global recognition for her anti war sentiments, and for her stance against male dominated decision makers. It is the story of the evolution of a passionate human spirit, and a tribute to all women everywhere.
In my opinion, this is Higginbotham's best work to date. I highly recommend it.

In February, 2000, I went on Acting Well. The key is using the log, doing the brief mental preparation in the morning, and understanding--just a little bit--how a properly trained actor creates a new role. It's all in the book, and it's all very simple.
Two years later? I took off around 25 pounds in the first year, going from 172 down to 145-150. I have settled in at 149 (I thoroughly enjoy weighing myself every day!), and sometimes drop a bit lower. It's important that I lost slowly, and even more important that I have NO trouble keeping it off. Now I am a thin person, and I enjoy the habits of a thin person. I know this will last for the rest of my life.
My only disappointment is that I didn't do it (it wasn't available, unfortunately) sooner.
I love my new me, which is really the me I always wanted to be. I never thought I'd make it though. Amazing!
And, incidentally, the book is a fun read; very well written. It debunks lots of stuff, medical and otherwise, and makes it clear that the problem is psychological, not physical. Calorie counting, excess exercising, dieting--they all don't work for more than a short time. This is a sensible, doable program; not a program, in fact, a life! After all, Shakespeare said that we're all only actors on a stage. With this plan, we can be good actors!
